When the sea was calm

February 10, 2016
“When the sea was calm, all ships alike showed mastership in floating”
— Shakespeare’s ‘The Tragedy of Coriolanus’

True character is not defined how we act when all is going well. It is revealed by how we react when everything is not.

Through courage when situations require decisive action
By lifting those who need our help to succeed
Having the difficult conversations when required
In how we take care of each other when tragedies occur

And taking the time to invest in relationships when waters are smooth
